What is “SDGs”?

These are goals that all United Nations member states aim to achieve by 2030, covering 17 areas such as poverty, education, and the environment. It has been established based on the principle of "leaving no one behind."

3. “Health and welfare for all”

This can be achieved in a variety of ways, including providing health-friendly products, promoting the health of employees and local communities, and disseminating health information.

1. Health-oriented product development:

We strive to provide products that are allergy-free, additive-free, and made with natural and organic materials that will please even people suffering from food allergies. We are also enthusiastic about developing rice crackers that meet specific health needs, such as rice crackers with low sugar and salt content, gluten-free, low-calorie, and high-protein rice crackers.

2. Providing nutritional information:

We will display nutritional information on rice cracker packaging to help consumers make healthy choices. First, we will prepare to provide information on our website and SNS.

3. Improving employee health and well-being:

We provide a healthy work environment, such as ensuring appropriate break times and regular stress management. The company is also considering offering health screenings and fitness programs for employees.

4. Participation in community health promotion activities:

We would like to actively participate in local events and fairs and educate people about the importance of healthy eating habits through rice crackers. In cooperation with schools and local organizations, we will also propose participation in food and nutrition education programs for children.

5. Adopting sustainable production methods:

By aiming for energy-efficient manufacturing processes and waste reduction to reduce our environmental impact, we indirectly protect public health.

6. “Delicious sweets for everyone”:

Through these initiatives, we will fulfill our responsibilities to local communities and consumers, while also diversifying our products and continuing to provide delicious sweets to everyone.

Health and well-being for all

4. “High-quality education for everyone”

We will work to provide learning opportunities in order to deepen ties with local communities and contribute to the development of society as a whole.

1. Provision of educational programs:

We will work with local schools and community centers to hold workshops and seminars on dietary education. Specifically, I will teach about the history of rice crackers, the manufacturing process, and the importance of a healthy diet. In addition, we will hold manufacturing process tours for children and hands-on classes in which they can actually bake rice crackers, in an effort to provide children with opportunities to learn from food manufacturing sites.

2. Supporting vocational education and skills development:

We will work to provide training programs and support to young people and local residents who aim to learn hand-baked rice cracker manufacturing techniques.

8. “Decent work and economic growth”

10. “Let’s eliminate inequality between people and countries”

1. Creating an environment where women can work comfortably:

As a mother raising children, I will actively work to create an environment that is easy for working mothers and women to work in, as well as a work environment that makes it easy for them to balance childcare, not only at my own stores but also in the local community, especially through social media.

2. Providing consideration and employment opportunities for people with disabilities:

We support the "Ai Support Movement" that each local government is working on. We will actively learn about the consideration and necessary consideration when a person with a disability visits our store.
We will also work to provide support for manufacturing technology training programs for people with disabilities.

3. Consideration for inbound tourists:

This site can be translated into English and Chinese . We are considering introducing welcome stickers at stores and holding hand-baked senbei rice cracker workshops for inbound tourists, and are working on ways to make Japanese food culture more familiar to people from overseas.

7. “Make energy accessible and clean”

13. “Take concrete measures to combat climate change”

The lighting in the store is equipped with LEDs. LED lighting is said to reduce power consumption and emit less CO2, reducing the burden on the environment. The lifespan of the light bulb itself is extended, so there is less waste, and the labor involved in replacing it is also reduced.

9. “Let’s create a foundation for industry and technological innovation”

17. “Let’s achieve our goals through partnership”

In order to make the growth of our own stores sustainable, we will contribute to the promotion of sustainable development and technological innovation in local communities and the industry as a whole.

1. Creating an environment where women can work comfortably:

As a mother raising children, I will actively encourage working mothers and women to create an environment that is easy to work in, and that makes it easy for them to balance child-rearing, not only at my own stores but also in the local community, especially through social media.

The official website is currently being translated into English, Chinese, and Korean . We are considering introducing welcome stickers at stores and holding hand-baked senbei rice cracker workshops for inbound tourists, and are working on ways to make Japanese food culture more familiar to people from overseas.

SDGS12 Responsible production and consumption.png

12. “Responsibility in production and consumption”

We aim to ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns through seven initiatives.

1. Sustainable sourcing of raw materials:

When procuring wheat, eggs, sugar, and other raw materials for our rice crackers, we support the local economy while being considerate of the environment by choosing locally produced, organic, and fair trade products.

2. Improved energy efficiency:

We will consider the use of renewable energy as a source of energy used in the production process of rice crackers and other products. We will also reduce CO2 emissions by reviewing and improving the energy efficiency of manufacturing equipment.

3. Waste reduction and recycling:

We will reduce packaging materials, promote the use of reusable or recyclable packaging, and reduce food waste by reducing production processes and donating unsold items.
Items that cannot be treated as unfitted products will be sold over the counter at a low price, and we will continue to devise measures to reduce the manufacturing waste rate to less than 5%, and eventually to zero.

4. Consumer education and information:

We provide information on sustainable production and consumption through product labels, in-store notices, websites and social media to help consumers make conscious choices.

5. Collaboration with local communities:

We work with local farmers and businesses to help build sustainable communities. We will also participate in local events and campaigns and contribute to activities that increase understanding and interest in the SDGs.

6. Promoting innovation:

We explore new technologies and ideas in the production and packaging of senbei to reduce environmental impact and realize efficient production methods.

7. “Delicious and safe sweets”:

We will thoroughly label food quality and strive to improve the safety and security of our products. In addition, we are working to reduce food loss by thoroughly conducting hygiene management and inspections that incorporate the HACCP concept, and by constantly researching and understanding appropriate expiration dates.
